Vaughn Municipal Schools is a proud supporter of the ATTENDANCE for SUCCESS ACT. Attendance is required by all students under the COMPULSORY ATTENDANCE LAW. As a district, we are required by the Public Education Department (NMPED) as well as the State of New Mexico, to record and report all absences.
A typical day begins at 8:00 am and goes until 3:50 pm, Monday through Thursday, and an occasional Friday.

We suggest that you encourage your child to keep the same mindset throughout the entire week.

Every child has access to a device as well as to the necessary class materials to be successful. Please continue to be their guide by keeping them engaged and focused on their schoolwork and responsibilities. Creating a routine and daily schedule for your child is always helpful.

Our school and staff members remain dedicated to providing the best educational experience possible for all students.  If you or your child are in need of additional support or resources, please reach out to us here at Vaughn Municipal Schools. We are all in this together and are available to help.

Vaughn's Attendance Improvement Plan can be found here.
